Over 200 Persian Warm Meals Distributed to Asylum Seekers Across Liverpool
On Friday 20th February, Pars Community proudly delivered more than 200 Persian hot meal packages, including drinks and desserts, to asylum seekers living in hostels and hotels across Liverpool.
This initiative marks a new part of our ongoing support programme for asylum seekers and refugees in Merseyside. Our volunteers visited major accommodation centres that had already been identified, ensuring that residents received freshly prepared warm meals directly at their place of residence. No registration was required—our team came directly to them, reinforcing our commitment to dignity, accessibility, and practical support.
Each package included a traditional Persian hot meal, accompanied by drinks and desserts, offering not only nourishment but also a gesture of warmth, care, and solidarity. For many residents, small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference, especially during uncertain times.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our funder, The National Lottery Community Fund, whose support made this initiative possible. We also extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to prepare, transport, and distribute the meals despite the challenging weather conditions.
At Pars Community, we remain committed to supporting newcomers, refugees, and asylum seekers across Merseyside. Through food distribution, advice services, educational programmes, and community activities, we continue working towards a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
We look forward to continuing this programme and expanding our efforts in the coming months. Below are a few examples from our warm meal and fruit package deliveries in recent years. You can view photos and videos showing some of the support provided to the community.
