Pars Brings Persian Hospitality to Liverpool’s Refugee Families

last week of October 2024, Pars community in Liverpool came together with a mission to support asylum seekers and refugee families staying in local hostels. We wanted to offer more than just a meal; we wanted to bring comfort and a sense of community to those who are far from home. With a team of dedicated volunteers, we prepared and shared warm, nourishing Persian food, complete with drinks, fresh salads, and fruit for 250 people.

Our volunteers made visits to the Burley Court central hostel, as well as several hotels in town currently housing refugee families. These visits allowed us not only to provide food but also to engage with the residents, offering a taste of Persian hospitality and creating connections through a shared meal. For many, it was a welcome reminder of home and a source of encouragement during a challenging time.

This initiative was made possible by the generous support and hard work of our community members, who dedicated their time and resources to make this event a success. The joy of seeing smiles and hearing expressions of gratitude from the residents was heartwarming and reminded us of the power of community in lifting spirits. At Pars, we believe in extending kindness and unity wherever we can, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support those in need. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful day!
