More than 12 teams travelled from cities such as Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, London, and Wigan, alongside five local teams from Liverpool, to participate in a full day of matches from 8 AM to 8 PM. The event was a celebration of sportsmanship, culture, and community spirit, with over 120 players, including young athletes under 16, and nearly 100 supporters and families in attendance.

Pars Community also fielded its own team, made up of volunteers and staff, proudly representing our values both on and off the pitch.

Thanks to generous support from Sport England, we were able to ensure a safe and smooth event, complete with a dedicated medical team on site, as well as plenty of food, drinks, and refreshments for everyone to enjoy throughout the day.

Adding to the professionalism of the event, referees from London officiated all matches. Their expertise ensured fair play and high standards across every game.

To honour the talent on display, Pars Community awarded trophies, medals, cash prizes, and special gifts to the winning team and overall champion. Individual awards were also presented to the best player and top scorer of the tournament — both of whom impressed official UK football scouts and are now being considered by professional clubs. An incredible opportunity for these rising stars!

The Persian Gulf Cup wasn’t just a tournament — it was a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within our community. We are proud to have created a space where people could connect, compete, and celebrate their shared identity.

A huge thank you to all the teams, supporters, volunteers, and sponsors who made this day such a success. We look forward to making this an annual tradition that brings us all closer — one goal at a time.
