Pars Community was delighted to host the 8th Backgammon Tournament in London, bringing together nearly 30 participants for an afternoon and evening filled with friendly competition, laughter, and cultural connection. The tournament took place in a welcoming and relaxed environment, where players of different backgrounds came together to enjoy one of the most loved traditional games within the Persian community.
The competition lasted several hours, with participants showing impressive focus, strategy, and sportsmanship throughout the matches. At the end of the tournament, the winner and second-place participant were recognised and rewarded with certificates, trophies, and cash prizes, celebrating their achievement and dedication. The atmosphere remained friendly and supportive from start to finish, reflecting the true spirit of community events organised by Pars Community.
This special gathering coincided with Yalda Night, making the occasion even more meaningful. Alongside the games, guests enjoyed music, conversation, free drinks, and refreshments, creating a joyful and vibrant setting. The sounds of laughter, the warmth of shared moments, and the sense of belonging made the event more than just a tournament, it became a celebration of culture, friendship, and togetherness.
Events like this highlight the importance of community spaces where people can connect, relax, and celebrate shared traditions. The Backgammon Tournament once again proved to be a wonderful opportunity for Persians and other members of the wider community to come together, strengthen bonds, and create lasting memories. Pars Community would like to thank all participants and attendees for making this event such a success and looks forward to hosting many more gatherings in the future.
