About the Event

Every week, Pars Community continues its commitment to supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are beginning a new chapter of their lives in the United Kingdom. This Friday, our volunteers will prepare, package and distribute fresh homemade Iranian-style meals, accompanied by fruit, fresh salad and drinks, before delivering them to refugee and asylum seeker accommodation across Liverpool.

The food packages will be distributed to several temporary accommodation sites, including Berley Court, one of Liverpool's main accommodation centres for newly arrived asylum seekers. Many residents are still waiting for the outcome of their asylum applications and are living in temporary accommodation while they establish their new lives. During this period, many face financial uncertainty, limited opportunities and significant challenges as they adapt to a new country and community.

Prepared with care by our volunteers, each package is more than just a meal—it is a gesture of friendship, dignity and solidarity. The homemade Iranian food reflects the generosity of our community, while the inclusion of fruit, salad and drinks provides a balanced, nutritious meal for those who need it most. Through this initiative, Pars Community hopes to bring comfort, warmth and a sense of belonging to people who may be experiencing isolation or hardship.

This week's programme aims to provide approximately 200 food and refreshment packages for individuals and families across Liverpool. The success of this initiative depends entirely on the kindness of volunteers, donors and community members who generously contribute their time, resources and compassion. Every meal prepared and every package delivered represents the collective spirit of a community that believes everyone deserves kindness, respect and support, regardless of their background or circumstances.

At Pars Community, supporting refugees and asylum seekers is an important part of our mission. Alongside educational programmes, cultural activities and community events, our regular food distribution programme continues to provide practical assistance while helping people feel welcomed and valued during one of the most challenging periods of their lives.

We would like to thank every volunteer, supporter and donor who makes this initiative possible. Your generosity continues to make a real difference, and together we are building a stronger, kinder and more inclusive community for everyone.
